Responsibilities

We are looking for a Working Student Software Engineer to support the implementation, delivery and maintenance of TeamViewer Frontline projects.

TeamViewer Frontline is our industrial AR platform that supports frontline workers with step-by-step digital workflows, real-time information, and smart glasses-based process guidance.

You will work closely with senior software engineers on real production systems, gaining experience in backend development, REST APIs and workflow development. Across a variety of customer projects, you will collaborate with other software engineers and technical project managers, take part in customer discussions, and see how your work impacts real-world processes.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of customer specific projects

  • Implement backend integrations in Java Spring Boot

  • Design customer processes into Workflows in our own engine with XML and JavaScript

  • Develop and consume REST APIs, including authentication, error handling, and documentation

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and optimization

  • Collaborate with project teams and customers to specify requirements, consult on implementation details or solve technical problems.

Requirements
  • Ongoing university studies in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field

  • At least two semesters of study time remaining

  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP concepts

  • Java programming skills

  • Hands-on experience with Git and general software development best practices

  • Relational databases knowledge is a plus

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

  • Fluency in English; German is a plus

    • €1,566 for a 20-hour/week contract

    • €1,253 for a 16-hour/week contract

    • €1,400 for a full-time internship position
