1 MonatInnsbruck Airport - Flughafen Innsbruck has taken a major step toward more sustainable ground handling operations with the delivery of Austria’s first fully electric Kalmar Motor TBL. Set against the backdrop of the Austrian Alps, Innsbruck is one of Europe’s most demanding airports. Due to the unique geographical conditions surrounding the airport, pilots require special certification to operate flights into Innsbruck. During the winter season, traffic reaches its peak as ski charter operations bring thousands of visitors to the region. The new electric TBL50 has already made its mark, with Christian from Innsbruck Airport completing the airport’s first fully electric towbarless pushback. Drivers have praised the vehicle’s comfortable working environment as well as its excellent driving characteristics and braking performance. To support the transition, Oliver Kreutzer from Kalmar Motor conducted extensive driver and workshop training on site, ensuring operational teams are fully equipped to maximize the benefits of electric ground handling. A big thank you to the team at Innsbruck Airport for their trust, collaboration, and commitment to innovation. 1 Monat BearbeitetTraining für den Ernstfall Am Flughafen Innsbruck wurde kürzlich eine Flugzeugbergeübung unter realitätsnahen Bedingungen durchgeführt. Im Fokus stand das sichere Zusammenspiel der Einsatzkräfte bei der Bergung eines Luftfahrzeuges nach einem simulierten Bugfahrwerksbruch. Flughafenfeuerwehr und Berufsfeuerwehr trainierten gemeinsam die Abläufe, um im Ernstfall bestmöglich vorbereitet zu sein. The focus was on the coordinated interaction of emergency teams during the recovery of an aircraft following a simulated nose landing gear failure. Airport Fire Service and Professional Fire Brigade trained together to further strengthen operational procedures and preparedness. Zum neuen Vizepräsidenten der AÖV wurde Wolfgang Grimus, Geschäftsführer des Graz Airport, bestellt.
