Projektmanager*in für Forschung & Entwicklung im Bereich Plattform-Management & Steering

Objective of Job  

As project managers covering the compact, midsize and full-size carlines in China, GRC/PSVP is leading the strategy decision making and alignment within China and also with HQ for all product related decisions. 
As MB steadily increases its localized production vehicle line-up in China, MBGC is faced with the exponentially growing complexity of managing multiple vehicle platforms from business case approval through development into production within a Joint Venture structure. GRC/PSVP is responsible for steering the MBC activities China for the fields of Development, Operations and Sales.

Project manager steers the overall project, cooperate with x-functional team and ensure the project premises, project milestones and project BC targets can be achieved at right time based on MDS guideline. 
 

Main tasks

1. Cross-functional vehicle project management across Research & Development, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Production Planning responsibilities 
2. Timeline planning and quality gates tracking
3. Preparing management presentations for decision, tracking decisions and reporting on implementation progress
4. Ensuring the pre-alignment of product relevant China topics with all involved departments such as Research & Development, Operations and Sales & Marketing
5. Continually monitoring and optimization of project BC
6. Participation and representation of Program Management in other committees

Qualification 

1. Education 
• Graduated/certified engineer Economics, mechanical engineering Automotive Engineering, technical orientated Business Administration or similar
•  Fluent English skills, German language skills is a plus

2. Experience 
• With minimum 3 years work experience at OEMs, experienced with Mercedes Benz Project steering is a plus

3. Specific Knowledge
• High motivation and flexibility, high commitment of deliver qualified result
• High ability to handle complicated and urgent tasks independently in a structured way
• Excellent communication and organization skills and working with cross-functional team 
• Knowledge of project management process of MB (MDS future)
• Proficient presentation skill to various hierarchy levels
• Team player, ownership
