Innovation, Development & Services

Deutschland

Full Time

About us

ATOSS Software SE is one of Germany’s most successful tech growth stories. As the market leader in Workforce Management Software, we help companies work more intelligently, creatively, and humanely optimizing the balance between profitability and people.

We’re a rare company: according to Handelsblatt (10/24), just 309 public companies worldwide achieved over 20% return on sales for ten consecutive years. Only one based in Germany: ATOSS Software SE.

With 20 years of record breaking growth, over €2 billion market cap, and listings in SDAX and TecDAX, we’re scaling globally and we’re growing.

If you’re ready to drive impact in a high-performing B2B SaaS environment, this is your chance to elevate your career.

The Person You are

At ATOSS, we hire for both character and skill, seeking individuals who embody resilience, a pioneering spirit, and the passion to grow.

We value those who:  Think like entrepreneurs – taking ownership, pushing boundaries, and driving impact.  Challenge the status quo – bringing fresh ideas and bold execution to the table.  Thrive in change – seeing growth as a lifelong journey, both professionally and personally.

We don’t just equip you for work—we prepare you for life.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to partner closely with the Product Manager and translate product strategy, customer needs, and business priorities into valuable product outcomes.

While the Product Manager owns product vision, roadmap direction, and market strategy, you own the execution layer. You transform strategic priorities into clear initiatives, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready product increments. You ensure delivery teams have the clarity, context, and prioritization needed to build products that deliver measurable customer and business value.

As a key link between Product Management, Engineering, UX, and customer-facing teams, you create alignment, manage trade-offs, and drive successful product delivery in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment.

The ideal candidate combines a strong technical background with extensive experience in agile product development and a proven track record of delivering complex software products from discovery through launch and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Discovery & Insights

  • Translate customer and market insights into clear problem statements, user needs, and backlog priorities
  • Maintain a structured view of customer feedback, enhancement requests, defects, and adoption signals within your product domain
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Professional Services to continuously gather and validate customer needs
  • Contribute domain expertise to product discovery and validation activities

Backlog Ownership & Delivery

  • Own and continuously prioritize a value-driven product backlog aligned with roadmap objectives, customer value, technical dependencies, and business priorities
  • Define and refine epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements
  • Drive backlog refinement, story decomposition, sprint readiness, and dependency management
  • Make day-to-day product decisions within the agreed product strategy
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet quality, usability, scalability, security, compliance, and performance requirements

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Support to ensure shared understanding of priorities and requirements
  • Communicate progress, dependencies, risks, scope implications, and trade-off recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support selected customer engagements, workshops, pilots, and product demonstrations together with the Product Manager

Product Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor product performance, adoption, customer feedback, and support insights
  • Partner with the Product Manager to evaluate outcomes against KPIs and continuously improve the product
  • Drive continuous backlog optimization based on customer and business learnings

Market & Technology Awareness

  • Stay informed about developments in Workforce Management, AI, LLMs, and agent-based technologies
  • Assess opportunities and implications for customer value, usability, compliance, and scalability
  • Contribute insights that support product roadmap decisions and innovation initiatives

Commercial Contribution

  • Provide customer, usage, and delivery insights to support pricing, packaging, and monetization discussions
  • Help ensure product investments are aligned with business objectives and customer value creation

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile B2B SaaS environment, ideally within Workforce Management, HR Tech, or enterprise software
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Architecture teams
  • Proven experience translating product strategy into well-prioritized backlogs and successful product delivery
  • Strong understanding of agile product development, backlog management, and requirements engineering
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance user, business, and technical needs
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, including LLMs and agent-based solutions, and an interest in their practical application
  • Experience working with Jira or comparable product management tools
  • Business-fluent English

Our Benefits

  • Competitive Rewards: Including profit-sharing and employee stock program.
  • Structured Onboarding & Continuous Leadership Development: Clear career paths onboarding through Expert & Leadership Tracks, plus access to ATOSS Academy.
  • Flexible Work Culture: Hybrid options (remote within the EU) and 30 days of vacation.
  • Engaging Team Environment: Seasonal company events, team retreats, and an in-house barista in Munich.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Including regular check-ups, corporate wellness programs, and Wellhub membership.
  • Stability & Growth: Company listed on SDAX & TecDAX, with 20+ years of record-breaking revenue and a 30%+ EBIT margin. Certified Top Employer© for the 7th year in a row.

At Atoss, great talent knows no limits. We welcome professionals from all backgrounds and empower their growth through an inclusive, skill focused environment.

Join us and be part of a high-growth, future-focused company!
